Jochen Wermuth is a long-term investor focused on the energy transition, sustainable infrastructure, and capital deployment at systemic scale. He is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Wermuth Asset Management, one of Germany’s largest family offices specializing in renewable energy, clean technology, and resource efficiency. Over more than two decades, Jochen has overseen multi-billion-dollar investments, beginning with early solar power investments in 2000. His background spans global finance and public policy, including senior roles at Deutsche Bank and advisory work for the European Union and the World Bank. From 2017 to 2024, he served on the investment committee of Germany’s Nuclear Waste Management Fund. Jochen holds degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Brown University and brings rigorous economic thinking and deep energy domain expertise to advancing resilient, next-generation infrastructure systems powering the global energy transition.
