Dr. Mindahi Bastida is a ceremonial leader and respected Indigenous diplomat from Tultepec, Mexico. An Otomi Toltec Elder and Earth Jurisprudence specialist, he has long represented Indigenous peoples at global gatherings such as the Earth Summit in 1992, Davos, and the UN Climate Conferences. He holds a doctorate in Rural Development and now serves as Lead Convener of the Earth Elders, a global alliance focused on protecting biocultural territories and renewing sacred governance. His work centers on defending sacred sites, caring for Mother Earth, and supporting biocultural regeneration through Indigenous knowledge systems.
