Barbara Ghinelli is the Director of Innovation Clusters and Harwell Campus at the UK Research and Innovation – Science and Technology Facilities Council (UKRI-STFC), where she leads the development of thriving science and technology ecosystems across the UK. She has established clusters in space, health, energy, digital, and quantum, bringing together more than 300 organisations and supporting rapid growth across sectors. Barbara also serves as Chief Scientific Advisor to Advanced Research Clusters (ARC) and sits on the board of the Rosalind Franklin Institute. With a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Space Radar Imaging, she combines scientific expertise with visionary leadership to connect research, business, and government for lasting impact.
